'Mathabiso has been in the field of writing since high school when she scooped the school's writer's award for writing the best article on the late Pope John Paul II.

In 2001, 'Mathabiso wrote Molahluoa- a Sesotho novel that is about abandoned girl child, who grows up but survives the harsh and difficult times of her life in the African country of Lesotho. The book reveals the secrets of how the child became an abondoned orphan, while the leaders of her village watched and enjoyed their lives.

Because it educated young people and adults about importance of children, the book was included in the secondary schools curriculum from 2002 to 2005.

'Mathabiso became a journalist in 1993, working for the Ministry of communications, in the departments of Lesotho news Agency and The Ultimate Radio.
